Wedding FAQ's

Are you accredited to any professional organisation?
Yes, I am an accredited member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP).

Are you fully insured to work as a professional photographer?
Yes, I have Public Liability insurance to the value of £2 million and Professional Indemnity cover to the value of £75,000.

How long have you been a wedding photographer?
I have been covering weddings for five years.

Will you cover more than one wedding in a day?
No, I guarantee that this will not happen.

How many photographs will you take at our wedding?
The number of photographs taken will probably run into several hundred images, and at the proof stage you will be shown between 2-350 edited images. The old adage of “quality not quantity” applies to wedding photography!

Do you have back-up equipment in the event of camera breakdown etc?
Yes, I carry spare equipment to cover such an event.

What happens if you are ill on the day of our wedding?
One of the benefits of being part of a professional organisation is that I am involved with a local group of photographers who act as a back-up contingency for each other in the event that illness etc. prevents one of us from attending. (it’s never happened yet though!).

If it rains on our wedding day how will you be able to get good photographs?
I will utilise all available indoor space (church, hotel etc) and still be able to create some memorable images for you. I also carry with me a plain ivory golf-style umbrella that the bride and groom can use to good effect.

How long will you remain at our wedding?
That’s dependant upon the coverage you have chosen but my time is not rigidly fixed. I’ll stay for as long as it’s needed to fulfil your expectations.

Do you work on your own or with an additional photographer?
That again depends upon the coverage you have chosen / the number of guests / size of venue etc. Typically I do like to have a second photographer with me as it gives a more varied coverage of your day.

How will we get to see our proof images? How long will they take?
My current preferred method is to create for you your own online wedding portfolio on my website. If required, this can be password protected for privacy. Other options are available if preferred (proof books etc). Your proof images are usually ready within 3 weeks of your wedding.

Are your wedding packages “set in stone” or are they flexible? Can we meet with you to discuss our day?
I am completely flexible with my service options and would love to discuss your day with you. Please give me a call!

How do we book you!?
Please send me an email to check my availability. If I am free I will provisionally reserve your date for you and send you a booking form. Upon receipt of the booking form and deposit (£100) I will confirm your booking and save the date just for you!
